VIOLENT STILLNESS THROUGH TIME is the result of a 2 week residency in Hoi An, Vietnam organised by Chula in April 2015. 

The work is inspired by the history of the trading port as well as its current status of World Heritage site making it a not-to-be missed spot on the South-East Asian tourist trail. 

By drawing flashes of memory with light this work tries to reflect on some elements of history that repeat themselves through time
